Today at the Mix 2009 keynote, Microsoft announced the launch of the all new, standards compliant IE8, now available for download. Some of the new features include: increased speed and performance, CSS 2.1 standards compliant page rendering, built in protection against scripting attacks boasting a 70% malware catch rate, private browsing, web slices, accelerators, and visual search.
We also liked that if IE8 crashes, it doesn’t kill the whole browser. Instead, the error is isolated only to the tab or window in which it occurred, meaning fewer interruptions in your browsing. So if you’re a PC, download Internet Explorer 8 right now.
